Almost there…
Well, I just now finished hooking my scanner back up (yeah, I know…took long enough, eh?). The good news is that I’ve been drawing in the meantime, so I have some stuff to scan in later this evening.
The good news is that since my last post, I’ve been digging into some helpful resources about cartooning, and specifically webcomics, thanks to one of my fellow new-found local cartoonists, Ben.
I’ve picked up How To Make Webcomics (and bookmarked webcomics.com), and I’ve picked up Making Comics, and I’ve actually been reading some webcomics (which I actually really hadn’t done a whole lot before).
And in even better news, I’m actually pulling characters from my inventory and creating new ones to see which ones would be a good fit together. Heck, I may even have enough for two or three strips. Or I might just do one — I haven’t decided yet.
So things are progressing nicely from this perspective, but there’s still a long way to go. The first stuff is going to suck, but I’m OK with that. We all have to start somewhere, right? ;^)
I’m going to post a few characters this evening, along with some explanations as to who they are.
