A whole ton of Marvel Omnibus hardcover compilations for under $9. Very tempted, but also very broke at the moment. http://tr.im/QYpD
I’ve finally had some time to sit down & draw, only to discover that the well is presently dry. #headmeetdesk

The Experiment Continues
Recently, I had considered consolidating two of my online “identities” into one. Pretty much everyone who knows me online knows me as captkevman. The Wayward Cartoonist wasn’t intended to be another nickname - it’s a chronicle of my return to cartooning after a long absence. I started to think, “if I start cartooning regularly again, then that will just be another part of me, so it should integrate into my online identity as captkevman. There will no longer be a need for The Wayward Cartoonist.”
And maybe that will still happen some day. But that day isn’t today.
As I face the daily challenges of trying to launch a consulting business, I’m finding that my personal cartooning project is being pushed to the (far) back burner. That’s not to say that cartooning has fallen off my radar completely - I’m still very much active in organizing a local community of comic and cartoon creators. And until that group becomes a lot more self-sufficient, I’ll continue to put it ahead of my personal strip, because there’s more at stake with that group than just me.
I’m looking forward to getting back to creating the strip. I keep getting gag and story ideas, but I find myself just too busy to stop and jot them down. Then, of course, they vanish before I get to a place where I can pause and record them. Oh, well. The curse of the creative, I suppose.
RT @757ccc: Please be sure to come to the 757ccc REBOOT meetup this Sat. if you can! http://tr.im/Ns6B -Help build YOUR creators’ community!
